Bug Description

Binary package hint: mount

Upgraded mount (2.12r-19ubuntu3 => 2.13~rc3-2ubuntu1)
Amd64 system
mounting Ubuntu Edgy NFS3 export

with mount version 2.12r-19ubuntu3 - mount works fine

with mount version 2.13~rc3-2ubuntu1 - mount fails with error
mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on faust-linux:/home/faustn2/video,
       missing codepage or other error
In some cases useful info is found in syslog - try
       dmesg | tail or so

nothing is written to syslog

ended up reverting back to mount 2.12r-19ubuntu3 and mount works with no error.

util-linux 2.13 drops NFS support, which is now provided by nfs-utils (binary nfs-common). Sadly, nfs-utils was out-of-date in gutsy, this has been corrected. (nfs-common >= 1:1.1.0-14 is what you want.)

I'll look and see what can be done to make the error message more clear.

Thank you for the update.
I will be on the look out for the new `nfs-utils`.

currently have installed nfs-common 1:1.1.0-4, so I will have to wait for the correct nfs-common to be built and mirrored before upgrading mount.

As of right now nfs-common 1:1.1.1~git-20070706-2ubuntu1 is out and installing.
mount 2.13~rc3-2ubuntu2 is working as expected for NFS.

This is not fixed in 2.13.
