Bug Description
Fresh install of Gutsy using a FakeRaid array set (ICH9R chipset) using FakeRaid HowTo. First few boots correctly shows RAID partitions in /dev/mapper/..... but suddenly after restarting the PC one time, the RAID partitions are not present in /dev/mapper....
Running "Sudo dmraid -ay" gives the following:
RAID set "isw_bjecgfegcc
ERROR: opening "/dev/mapper/
Running "sudo dmraid -s" gives:
*** Group superset isw_bjecgfegcc
--> Active Subset
name : isw_bjecgfegcc_
size : 3907064832
stride : 256
type : stripe
status : ok
subsets: 0
devs : 4
spares : 0
NOTEs: The RAID set must be working as my ubuntu is installed on it, and I am able to boot into ubuntu aswell! It is only after when I'm logged into ubuntu and wish to mount the other RAID partitions for file storage that I discovered no entries in "dev/mapper/" ?!
I have not installed anything like LVM and only the basics to get ubuntu up and running. The only other thing new to the system is allowing ubuntu to install updates via update manager. (which is possibly when things started to go wrong...)
