Bug Description

As I currently run Gutsy my Gnome and Xfce DE are getting unstable at times. When they are unusable, I fall back to ION3 as my WM. ION3 uses different approach in dealing with windows and makes every application window open in full width and height. After using Pidgin in ION3 I went back to Gnome and noticed I can not scale my Pidgin window. I can scale it in Y axis, while when it comes to width, I can scale it only by 20-30px. It's quite annoying.

See attached screen shot.

Confirm with Hardy Beta with last updates (the default beta without updates doesn't have this problem) on 4 computers.

Thanks for the report, it has been some time without any response or feedback in this bug report and we are wondering if this is still an issue for you with the latest release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal, May you please test with that version and comment back if you're still having or not the issue? Please have a look at http://www.ubuntu.com/download to know how to install that version. Thanks in advance.
