Bug Description

Binary package hint: deskbar-applet

The new release of deskbar applet, aside from drastically changing its UI (for the worse it seems as well, as seen here: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=465658 and here: https://bugs.launchpad.net/deskbar-applet/+bug/131446 ), broke tracker integration. Deskbar used to, so long as tracker was present (and since it is on by default in gutsy, it would always be present) return live search results using tracker index, as well as provide a was to search your string/term with the tracker-search-tool. Now that deskbar has been updated, the way extensions are written has changed, meaning all old extensions, such as the tracker one, need to be re-written.

I'm just amazed a change this big went down this close to the gnome UI freeze.....
