Just a "me too" - it'd be really nice to utilize the scroll (and proposed search) functions of the terminal to save piping thru less/more

*me too*, but I'd also like to suggest that it would be great to have a live grep feature, where instead of just highlighting matches from the buffer, you'd see just the rows that contain the matching pattern.

this is the single-most big feature i find missing in gnome-terminal as compared to my favourite terminal emulator in KDE - konsole.

Dear reporters, Please Do NOT add "me too", "+1" or others comments like that, those are not going to help the bug to be fixed, if you want to "say" that you're also affected by this issue you can click on the "Does this bug affect you? " Button which is just below the bug title. And better, if you want to help to fix this, well provide a patch, but adding those comments doesn't help at all in fact they make our job even harder since we have to read all this bug mail noise, please bear that in mind, thanks.
