erasing a CD-RW does freeze the comupter totally

Bug Description

I tried various ways to erase a CD-RW:

GnomeBaker
Brasero
Command line with: cdrecord dev=0,1,0 blank=all -v -eject

THe computer always freezes down and would only restart with ALT+PRINT+b!

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I have unmarked it as a security issue since this bug does not show evidence of allowing attackers to cross privilege boundaries nor directly cause loss of data/privacy. Please feel free to report any other bugs you may find.

Why isn't this a security issue?

The user looses data when earasing a CD-RW with GnomeBaker or any other Ubuntu program available.

I just tested it yesterday again an the same thing!

ALT+PRINT+b? Never heard of such combo.
You hardly specified any information. What version of Ubuntu are you using? What CD/DVD drive do you have?
