Bug Description
Binary package hint: scim-hangul
I mainly speak french, i'm just doing my best in english.
Hello
I only used synaptic to add the support of korean, my system is up to date.
I can use SCIM with japanese, I have no problem.
Bonjour.
It should also be ok with korean (I can input hangeul, and I can see
the alphabet but...
I use Gnome, I have a french (azerty) keyboard, SCIM is configured to
consider my keyboard.
UIM-hangul3 does work fine but it does consider my keyboard is qwerty.
if you know korean, you know it can be not that simple to input characters
from a westerner keyboard, but there, it's really a pain for my fingers.
UIM-hangul2 works better (it considers my azerty keyboard) but it doesn't
know the diphtong issued from the combination of vowels "eu" et "i"
(on my keyboard it(s the keys m and l.
has this case been reported yet ? is it solved ? is there a way to
patch it by myself ?
TIA

Hi Christophe,
I am confused. You reported this bug against scim-hangul, but in your report you said the problem is UIM-hangule[23]. So which package are you using? Can you show the result of command "dpkg -l scim-hangul" and "dpkg -l uim-hangul" on your system?
Also, please give more infomation about your system. Are you using feisty (7.04)? How did you install scim and the Korean input methods? More information can help diagnose the problem. Thanks.
