Bug Description

Binary package hint: libmultisync-plugin-evolution

using this plugin to access evolution calendar i notice that doesn't work for the remote calendars configured in my evolution, there are 3 remote calendars 2 caldav and 1 webdav, connecting to the private local calendar in evolution, works just fine.

the only thing that multisync said is:

[evo2-sync] DEBUG: start: sync_connect
[evo2-sync] INFORMATION: Loading state from file /home/sourcer/.multisync/3/remotesettings
[evo2-sync] DEBUG: end: load_palm_state
[evo2-sync] WARNING: failed to open calendar

Hi, I have had the same problem and it still happens with latest Ubuntu (9.04).
I could also add that using the checkbox for "copy the remote calendar for connectionless use" (I don't know what the checkbox says in English) in calendar properties is not enough, I have to manually make a copy and use that for synchronization to my phone.
I have to use a remote (exchange) calendar in my work environment, so this is quite annoying.

While I can successfully sync with calendars and contacts located "On This Computer," I have not been able to sync with my exchange calendars. As reported above, selecting "Make available for offline use" does not solve the problem. The same issue is present for syncing my exchange contacts (although this is not nearly as problematic for me). This may be an upstream issue (see: http://www.opensync.org/ticket/510 )

Ubuntu Version: Jaunty (9.04)
Evolution: 2.26.1
Evolution Exchange Connector: 2.26.0-0ubuntu3
Multisync0.90: 0.92.0~svn355-1
opensync-plugin-evolution: 0.22-2ubuntu2
opensync-plugin-gnokii: 0.22-1

Any additional information required to help get this problem solved will be happily provided!

I experience the exact same problem as is decribed in this bug. I see this bug as something with high importence to find a fix for. I am part of an organization where several hundred employees will soon be using Ubuntu and the migration from MS Project to Evolution will meet resistance with an important feature like this missing. All employees syncronizes their cellphone with the calendar, addressbook and Tasks.

I am sorry to only contribute with information on how important the fix for this bug is for my organization.

Of course I meant MS Outlook NOT MS Project as stated in my comment #5.
