Bug Description

Kernel: 2.6.22-9-generic

This has just happened with the latest updates (August 18th). It may just come back, so I'm not going to play with it for now. I've seen before that if I boot into Feisty and have it running there and then boot back into Gutsy it works - but that's hardly a fix.

Sorry, it just came back after installing nvidia-glx

It looks like I need to turn it on at a quite specific moment during the boot for it to be seen and configured. By chance something threw the bootup back to text mode and I noticed the "kill switch on" line so quickly pressed the kill switch to turn it off. The contents of the original description of course includes me checking each thing twice pressing the button in between tries.
