Bug Description
Binary package hint: mozilla-thunderbird
Not sure if I'd call this a bug, perhaps more a request.
I subscribe to the ISP 1&1 email which allows me to create a "catch all" email as well as my main email address.
I use this "catch all" concept when I'm subscribing to web-sites, for example this website I've used the email address <email address hidden>.
Your response arrived in the InBox for the "catch all", I then created a Filter so that the email was moved to the folder Mozilla.
I do this so that I...
a) don't miss any malformed emails to me - if someone mistypes. e.g. Moizlla@...
b) so that I can detect if an email address I've supplied is being misused. e.g. for Bank Loans from Mozilla, not that will happen, it's just an example :-)
Today I got an email from a valid web site that the Junk controls decided it was Junk before it went through my filter list. I move all Junk to a folder and check it before I delete it so I didn't miss it.
I looked at how I could prevent this happening again and I can either Put the email addresses in my Address book or collect the addresses.
Neither of these options make sense as the addresses I'd be adding are all <email address hidden>, i.e. they are all addressed to me.
Would it be possible, as an option, to get the junk control to do it's stuff after the filters have done their stuff. That would mean (for me) that everything that hits my inbox is first filtered into it's own folder as it's addressed to <email address hidden> and so has arrived from a known source or I've not set up the filter yet. Any thing left in the inbox can then be checked for Junk and moved.
Thank you for a tremendous product and for reading this.
