PPA Fatal error when opening…loading libexpwraplo.so failed

Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.

Confirmed on 14.04, amd64.

Config on 14.04 amd64 too.

It is a known problem which effects all builds of 4.3rc1 in the prerelease ppa.
There is no further confirmation or information needed.

Note that I cannot collect info using apport: it does not detect the fatal error, and "apport-bug libreoffice" will not proceed due to it not being an official Ubuntu package.
Any other info that would help?

Is this an XFCE bug only? And, is there a workaround?

Scratch that - I'm getting it in Unity as well.

in terminal type :

sudo rm /usr/share/mime/packages/kde.xml

(look at 'kde.xml', suits 'kde.xml' for your distro)

sudo update-mime-database /usr/share/mime
sudo apt-get remove libreoffice*
sudo apt-get install libreoffice

I have the same problem in elementaryOS Luna.

Same here, also on elementary OS and workaround in#9 didn't work out...

Hmm, so the lib that is being complained about is at least packaged in libreoffice-core -- so at least not obviously missing from the install.

this is caused by --enable-mergelibs, disabling it for now. Build is on the way.

This should be fixed with libreoffice-1:4.3.0~rc2-1ubuntu1~utopic2. Not ideal to disable mergelibs (for performance reasons), but at least there should be testable build of rcs now.
