Bug Description
New Thinkpad T61, running Gutsy with all upgrades to date (18 August).
Wired and wireless hardware was detected fine, can use KNetworkManager to browse networks and connect to them with either type of connection. But here at home, after I connect wirelessly it will transmit but not receive. Sometimes I can load one web page before it stops receiving. I thought it was a general wireless problem but I went to a school library recently and was able to use the connection with no hitches. The only difference I can imagine is that my home router is a Belkin N1, and this is some issue with the driver's N capabilities.
I don't really know how to test this in more detail to see exactly what's happening, but I'd be willing to do so if someone would walk me through it.
The 18 month support period for Gutsy Gibbon 7.10 has reached its end of life - www.ubuntu. com/news/ ubuntu- 7.10-eol . As a result, we are closing the modules- 2.6.22 task. It would be helpful if you could test the www.ubuntu. com/getubuntu/ releasenotes/ 904overview. If the issue still exists with the Jaunty
