Bug Description

Binary package hint: aptoncd

Please upload aptoncd 0.1.95-1-ubuntu1 for Universe.

The package is available (ready and tested) here: http://www.cypherbios.org/aptoncd/0.1.95/
This is all we (upstream developers) have been working for the last five months for inclusion on Ubuntu Gutsy. It is a complete new version since the 0.1, with complete code and GUI rewrite, that fixes all the opened bugs related to this package and also closes some feature requests.

Michael Vogt is OK with this upload and if approved he is going to sponsor it.

Thanks.

Please supply all the information requested for MOTU UVFe in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess

If Gutsy was your target, why is this uploaded after UVF and not before?

It was in part my mistake, because the bugs I'd like to fix wasn't fixed until last Wednesday, and it caused the delay in delivering the package. But now they're fixed and ready to upload. I'm sorry for that delay. This was done envisioning the QA for the user experience.

Is there any further information needed? I read the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#head-9523bc4076ff011324d67cddc97969ec609618d6
and the only thing is missing here is a upstream changelog. Well, actually there is no changelog from upstream, but as I'm the developer I can create one (very superficial, indeed):

  - Complete code rewrite;
  - Complete GUI redesign;
  - Behaviour and usability improvements;
  - A lot of bug fixes;
  - Added possibility of the user choose the desired app for burning;
  - Added possibility of the user add an entire folder for scanning;
  - User can set --cache-dir=;
  - User can set --temp-dir=;
  - Refreshed dependencies;
  - Switch to python-distutils;

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

If you're fixing all the open bugs in the package each time you want an
upload, then i'm happy with a late UVFe. Yay for active upstreams!

I'll ack this based on you giving an assurance that you'll be here to fix bugs since this is a big change late in the process. Please sign up as bug contact for the package if you haven't.
