Bug Description

Binary package hint: d4x

d4x crashes and closes when starting a download with a HTTPS url.

(example: https://banking.raiffeisen.at/html/login.jsp )

I can confirm this. I was also attempting to download something over https:// and d4x just crashed as soon as it attempted to start the download.
I've attached a backtrace of it.

Yes, I can still reproduce this on up to date Intrepid.

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. I can reproduce this on 8.10 (i386). Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here. Thanks for taking the time to make Ubuntu better!
