Can't add new monitor model

Binary package hint: displayconfig-gtk

I have a Benq FP71V+, so I tried to add the .inf-file from the windows driver (downloaded from benq.com). This seems to work; however, the model never shows up in the list.
Started from the console, I can see the following when trying to add the model:

WARNING:infimport:duplicated entry BenQ; BenQ FP71V+; BNQ76A2; 31-83.0; 56.0-76.0; 1

WARNING:infimport:duplicated entry BenQ; BenQ FP71V+; BNQ76A2; 31-83.0; 56.0-76.0; 1
ERROR:infimport:Unable to write /var/lib/guidance-backends/CustomMonitorsDB: No such file or directory

There is also no such directory as /var/lib/guidance-backends. After a mkdir /var/lib/guidance-backends; touch /var/lib/guidance-backends/CustomMonitorsDB it works.

Same here

Coulden't find the right monitor so i tryed to at it, downloaded the ini file for the monitor

but got this error

ERROR:infimport:Unable to write /var/lib/guidance-backends/CustomMonitorsDB: No such file or directory

made the folder and the file, and it works
