Bug Description

After a while of using FireFox, if I click the "Go the address in the Location Bar" button to the right of the Location Bar nothing happens. Likewise if I click into the Location bar and press Enter nothing happens. I would expect the browser to load the address in the Location Bar.

This can be worked around by typing the address into the Search bar and clicking on the link from the Google page. Restarting FireFox also seems to make the problem go away temporarily.

Using Fiesty with Firefox 2.0.0.6. Extensions installed are "Long Titles 1.3" and "del.icio.us Bookmarks 1.5.29".

please run firefox in -safe-mode for a while and see if the problem
still happens.

To do so start firefox from terminal like:

 firefox -safe-mode

Perhaps I should just upgrade to 7.10, and see if the problem goes away. Not much point tracking this down if this is a 7.04 specific bug, I'd imagine.

This bug does not occur in 7.10, so I'm relabelling this "Fix Released".

I hit the same bug in Fedora Core Firefox 2.0.0.5, so this isn't Ubuntu specific. The only extension in common was del.icio.us, so that may be to blame.

if it worked fine in safe mode it is caused by an extension most of the
time, when you upgraded you most likely upgraded any extensions you had
installed as well.
