Bug Description

Binary package hint: evince

seen on released feisty on a sp3 (gutsy doesn't have a kernel for the sp3 yet).
the driver for the sound card is missing/ the sound card is not configures, evince comes up with garbage on the screen. calling evince with --disable-sound works fine. It looks like evince doesn't look at successful initialization of the sound system.

Thank you for your bug. Do you still have the issue? Does it happen with any pdf example? I just tried on a configuration where the soundcard doesn't work on gutsy and evince works correctly
