Bug Description

OpenVIP is a GUI based GPLed multitrack non-linear video editor (NLE), presently the only one marked "Production / Stable" at sourceforge (http://sourceforge.net/projects/openvip/). It is based on Python. Developers provide binaries for Microsoft Windows (TM) only. Compilation instructions for Linux are on their Website (http://openvip.sourceforge.net/userdoc/ch01s03.html). The program's feature list superexceeds Pitivi's several times. I find this app very interesting and would ask whether you could make it a standard Ubuntu application.
