Bug Description

The LiveCD works fine on my XP PC but does not load on Windows 98 PC. The software runs and loads everything but finally only a yellow screen shows up and the drive keeps on starting up and stopping.

What version of Ubuntu are you using?
Does your Windows 98 PC meet the minimal system requirements? The Ubuntu 7.04 LiveCD needs 256 MB of RAM, if you have less memory you should use the alternate CD.

The Alternate Desktop CD does not include the Live CD, it is only meant for hard disk installation using a text-based installer and should be used to install Ubuntu on systems with less than 256 MB RAM.
Does your machine have 256 MB RAM?

No.
Thnx for the tips. I wanted to try out a LiveCD only as installing the OS gives me the jitters.
Thnx

Closing then as this is not a valid bug report since your system doesn't meet the minimal system requirements.
