[Gutsy] pidgin doesn't quit gracefully

Bug Description

Binary package hint: pidgin

This is with pidgin 2.0.1 I just did pidgin -d & this is the content & posting the pidgin -d output on stdout as the log.

It kinda freezes & does nothing. Here's one more & this time we also get a traceback & some kinda memory map. Although had to do that sudo killall pidgin a few times.

Thanks for your contribution to ubuntu.

I tried to reproduce your actual issue with latest gutsy pidgin 1:2.2.1-1ubuntu4.1 and I was not able to reproduce this bug. Can you test if this bug still persist with latest pidgin version? You can know what pidgin version you use by typing "apt-cache policy pidgin" in a terminal without the quotes " .
