Can you provide a pointer for what needs to be done to get a template available in rosetta for python apps?

Bryce, do you mean importing a template to rosetta, or internationalising the application in general?

Does the application provide a pot file already, and is ready to be translated?
Danilo should be able to provide quick help for this one.

A new package has been built and Launchpad got its translation files. I just approved it although the import will take a while because we have more than a week of backlog of entries to be imported.
