Bug Description

The Intel Poulsbo HDA patches were pulled in Ubuntu gutsy kernel tree already, while the snd-hda-intel module was not created their, instead, linux-ubuntu-modules did the creation job. But the intel HDA kernel driver inside was not patched with Poulsbo HDA patches at all. So current HDA does not work if install linux-image-ume and linux-ubuntu-modules-ume on Crown-beach or Poulsbo VV platform.

I guess we need either move the Poulsbo HDA patches to linux-ubuntu-modules package or let linux-image-ume to create snd-hda-intel module.

SND_HDA_INTEL (sound/pci/hda/ has been ) has been disabled in the Gusty kernel and moved to Gutsy linux-ubuntu-modules (l-u-m).

Subsequent patches must be against http://kernel.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-gutsy-lum.git

Tim,
does this mean for Poulsbo HDA we need to re-submit patch to LUM again ?

I pretty sure Kyle picked up all of the in-kernel patches when he moved snd-hda-intel to l-u-m on the last upload.

I guess that last comment didn't answer your question. I applied the 'Poulsbo HDA Intel: Add B1 stepping fixup' patch to l-u-m today.
