Bug Description
Binary package hint: metacity
With latest gutsy:
Set focus-follows-mouse mode in Systems-
If you have your mouse (and focus) over (say) a terminal winow directly on top of the desktop, then close the terminal winow - landing your mouse ontop of the desktop, I find alt-tab no longer works.
If you then click onto the desktop, alt-tab works again.
I've noticed this doesn't seem to happen if you drop the mouse pointer very close to the right-hand edge of the desktop.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. I've tried to reproduce it and it works fine for me, are you running compiz?
