Bug Description

Binary package hint: kicker

Kicker start menu displays "_: Entries in K=menu: KArm app name,personal TimeTracke..." whenever description/name or name/description are selected in gutsy 64 bit AMD version anyways. problem goes away if you select ONLY name or ONLY description listing for kubuntu gutsy.

This is also happening on the i386 version of Kubuntu (Gutsy Herd 5 - fresh install).

Confirmed that name only and description only work, Name - description and description (name) insert text above.

Confirmed in my instance of a 64bit Feisty->Gutsy upgrade.

By default Name & Desc were selected and most menu items appeared as they do in this bug description. Changing the menu to just Names fixes the display...

How to change this: Right-clik on the K-Menu -> Panel Menu -> Configure Panel, select "Menus" and change the "Menu Item Format" to "Name Only".

Good Day . . .

- 18Oct07 download Kubuntu 7.10 i386 32 iso and installed on spare hard drive

- can confirm the above with K-Menu

- tried all options within KDE to rearrange the menu display including kappfinder

- no luck
