Installer freezes in ubuntu 7.10 tribe-5 amd64 live CD

Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

This bug is present in tribe-4 as well as tribe-5. This seems to be prevalent only in amd64 LiveCDs. The installer and the entire desktop freezes at "Detecting Filesystems". In tribe-4 installer freezed at "Configuring System locales".

My system is a Compaq presario V3000 with amdturion 64 bit dual core 1.6Ghz and 512 MB RAM.
