# SUN JAVA JRE 5 & 6 Update FAILED to install on Gutsy Tribe-5
Hardware
OS - Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon TRIBE-5
Dell 6400 ATI X1400 Video Card
Intel Duo Core 2 T5600
2 Gb Ram
120G HD
5 in 1 Card Reader

Gutsy failed to install JAVA both JRE 5 & 6 Update

Additional information on the problem above

I got these errors during JAVA 6 Installation

E: sun-java6-bin: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127
E: sun-java6-plugin: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: sun-java6-jre: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: sun-java6-fonts: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

I just installed loads of sun-java6-* packages, and they all installed fine. Attached you can find an install log of this.

Can you please tell us whether this doesn't work for you still?
