Bug Description
Binary package hint: xserver-
I'm using contrast font rendering, since on geode subpixel hinting is too demanding on the CPU. Sometimes some characters are grey or even blank. This happens for instance on Thunderbird or on menus.

Please note that subpixel hinting only works on LCD displays. Just for reference, can you tell us:
What display are you using? On what Geode-based hardware? Booting using which BIOS brand and release?
