Bug Description

Binary package hint: kmediafactory

KMediaFactory's last update was 2006-06-19 to a newer version (0.5.2), please ship Gutsy with this newer version, it has some improvements and bugfixes (more here: http://www.kde-apps.org/content/show.php?content=20121 )

0.5.2 uploaded to Hardy, possible that a Gutsy backport may be available.

Why are old packages ever released for an upcoming distro? 0.5.2 of this
was released long over a year ago, why wasn't it updated by default??
Really, I am curious, as this isn't the first time that I've seen this.

Packages aren't automagically updated, someone has to do it and that someone was me. However, I wasn't at the time and I could only get it into Hardy.
