Bug Description
Hey,
using: notebook Samsung, gutsy gibbon, kernel 2.6.22-10-generic, KDE 3.5.7., nvidia graphic card, driver nvidia-glx-new
After a while (not measured), without a installed screensaver, the screen switches off. No mouse movement, no keyboard input will reactivated the screen. The computer is running, switching off via button is possible.
Ideas? :-)

Does the issue happen when you are using the open source nv driver? Is there anything in /var/log/Xorg.0.log or /var/log/messages mentioning Xids?
