Bug Description

For the HP Elitebook 755 (SKU "J0X38AW#ABD" with BIOS Version "M84 Ver. 01.01") I found the following kernel parameters were needed to make the wireless controller work properly:

"acpi_osi=!Windows 2012"

TJ, thanks for working on it. Usually when people assign themselves a bug, they advise in a comment that they are actively investigating it, and post regular updates on their progress (upstream discussions, thoughts on provided debug logs, etc.). As it's been over half a month since you assigned yourself this report, would you be able to share any progress towards this?

Phil: comments can't be deleted but don't worry about it. A fix for the original issue should be coming down the pipeline soon.

Has this issue been resolved? I was able to fix this issue with the fix suggested in the description but unfortunately, it had the effect of preventing the computer from suspending. I've been living with this annoyance for some time but I'd like to know if there's a proper fix for both problems.
