Bug Description
Binary package hint: audacious
When audacious is associated with streamtuner, everytime you change the radio stream, it take a very long time to change (to start the first time too). This does not happen when you use local files (*.mp3, *.ogg, etc.).
This does not happen in Feisty.

Thank you for reporting this bug.
This is due to the fact that Audacious 1.3 attempts to determine what codec is used for the stream (thus enabling AAC+ streams). 1.2 just handed everything remote off to the MP3 decoder unless it ended in .ogg.
Audacious 1.4 uses mimetypes for this purpose to speed up detection, but isn't ready for production use yet (it's still somewhat a toy ;)).
