Bug Description
Binary package hint: wengophone
Please allow merge wengophone package from Debian sid (2.1.1.dfsg0-4) with the debdiff I attached to LP #135671
Unfortunately, automatic sync from Debian was stopped by a re-build upload (2.1.0.
This merge carries a new upstream version (from 2.1.0 to 2.1.1). However it is just a bugfixing release. As upstream has no proper changelog, I am attaching svn log entries between the two tagged releases. As you can see, no new features have been added.
As it is relevant, I am attaching also the debian changelog entries between 2.1.0.dfsg-3 and 2.1.1.dfsg0-4.
Lot of bugfixing has been made, and patches have been submitted upstream.
This update would close most SIGSEV bugs, which I am sure they are caused by a missing patch for Qt libs >= 4.2.
(#135562 for sure, however I cannot list bugs now, because the lack of this patch causes random crashes, so it is not easy to detect if the missing patch was the actual cause of the bug).
Moreover it resolved debian bugs 438419, 431020, 434389, 427930.
The same bugfixing could be done with ubuntu specific patches against 2.1.0.dfsg-3build1, however it would involve more work with a lower quality result.
The ubuntu specific patch (ubuntu1) is to:
* Re-enable video as gutsy's ffmpeg supports video codecs
* Moved menu item back to Apps/Net according to the previous policy
I would like also to point out that the diffstat file is misleading: most changes come from 3rd-party-libs which are not used in compiling wengophone for gutsy, documentation and translations.
Btw: I have been helping in upstream bugfixing for more than half a year, I am co-maintainer of the debian package of wengophone since a couple of months. Now I am interested in adopting the wengophone package in Ubuntu.

Ack. This seems reasonable.
