Bug Description

Several distribution packaging tools require upstream tarballs to contain a top-level directory inside which all upstream files and directories are put. Most upstream tarballs follow this convention but not backintime.

Would it be possible that the next backintime release tarball follow this convention and thus contain a backintime-1.0.37/ top-level directory?

Thank you

Sure, I changed this for next major release 1.1. I'd like to keep 1.0 release just for bug fixing for now. Packaging scripts need to be changed for 1.1 any ways.

Changed in backintime:
status: New → Fix Committed
milestone: none → 1.1.0
