Zapping uses lots of CPU time, loads more than XawTV (which tales only 2 or%).
The problem is it appears to cause xorg to also take lots of CPU time.
The BIG problem is that a lot more often than not, zapping eats ALL of the CPU time ! Sometimes Zapping will use 50% and xorg 40%, and the next second, Zapping will use l...

The problem is it appears to cause xorg to also take lots of CPU time.
The BIG problem is that a lot more often than not, zapping eats ALL of the CPU time ! Sometimes Zapping will use 50% and xorg 40%, and the next second, Zapping will use less, and xorg more, but overall, Zapping&Xorg will eat 95% of CPU time. sometimes it will go up to 99%, and the system will start slowing down/become jerky, and in extreme cases, it will completely hang, requiring a reboot ! :-/
