Bug Description

Using latest gutsy, the login time is slower than edgy.

Using a stopwatch, from gdm to desktop until disk activity stops.

Edgy: 33s, 28s, 32s. Avg: 31 s
Gutsy: 40s, 36s, 39s. Avg: 38,3 s. 7 seconds slower in gutsy and that's without trackerd enabled.

I am not sure where the slowdown is, that's why I am reporting this.

I have also noticed a significant slowdown in login from feisty to gutsy

Why do you think that this SEVEN seconds delay is a bug? Gutsy has many more features than Edgy.
I'm pretty sure that the devs are trying to make Ubuntu as fast as possible so unless you know exactly that something is making the login time unnecessarily longer you shouldn't report this as a bug.
The same goes to your another bug report.
