Bug Description

I propose to remove year view from the calendar app since it does not serve a practical purpose and also results in showing too much information in one view. Take a look at the screenshot attached. You will see for yourself that that the weekday names like "Mon, Tues, Wed" etc are place way too close each other.

I also took a look at other calendar apps like Google Calendar which doesn't provide a year view since on the phone with limited screen estate it is rather difficult to use it in a meaningful way.

I'd agree that the year view is too busy, but it's actually useful to be able to go back to dates in the past without having to skip month by month. Perhaps if the month view had an easy way to switch years, then the need for the year view is much less?

While google calendar may not offer it, both IOS and BB10 provides year view, but in different way. what I mean to say is, YearView's design may not be proper but it indeed serves a purpose.

Yup I realise my mistake. I think if we have make some minor adjustments to make it look more spacious then that would be great. With that I am marking this bug invalid. Thanks for taking the time to explain your viewpoints.
