Can you explain what is wrong with the testcase then please. What you're describing is not a testcase bug.

Installed today's daily live (http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/20141003/utopic-desktop-i386.iso) in VirtualBox - there is no prompt "to remove media and press Enter", so the bug exists.

That's a bug with ubiquity or something - there should be a prompt to remove - the testcase says that. The bug is not with the testcase.
