Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.22-10-xen

Hi,

When I boot under XEN, with 2.6.22-10-xen kernel, networking doesn't work. I "can" ping around, but can never establish a connection. I've found a temporary solution to the problem by looking around in the forums. I have to issue:

ethtool -K eth0 tx off

in order for the networking to start working. After booting DomU, I also need to do the same in DomU to also get it working.

Thanks,

Emre

With the latest kernelupdate I was able to use the network without any ethtool use. It was present in the kernel from a weeks ago. Are you sure you have the latest kernelupdate?

Well I'm using 2.6.22-10-xen kernel and I guess it's the latest one. Which kernel are you using?

Note: This 2.6.22-10-xen is very unstable on my system.

Suddenly found myself also needing to use the ethtool command. Strange, because it did work a few days without it. Problem definitely exists.

Just updated to 2.6.22-11-xen, running it since 10 minutes, looks good. Networking runs fine without the ethtool trick. I'm actually making my comment from a DomU that was previously crashing on 2.6.22-10-xen, but this 2.6.22-11-xen runs good.

Thanks Chuck!
