Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

In the latest 2.6.22 kernel on Gutsy, Bluetooth can't be stopped by PowerTOP. If one tries to stop Bluetooth with PowerTOP (by following its suggestion), one gets a "ERROR: Module hci_usb in use" message. On Debian unstable, stopping Bluetooth with PowerTOP works completely fine.

There's software using your bluetooth device. Powertop would need to stop it in order to remove the module.

I'm just using a clean install of Ubuntu - so I don't see why the device
would be in use.
It isn't in use if I try this in Debian...

As far as I can see hciconfig hci0 is just a tad bit too slow, so unloading hci_usb fails because hci0 isn't down yet.

When the tip comes by a second time and I apply it, it works. Also when I try to rmmod hci_usb after the first time the tip comes by it unloads as well.

So it seems to be a simple race condition.
