Its not that recoverable errors are being reported with ProblemType: Crash, rather that the recoverable_problem script is crashing parent process, which we were trying to gather data about, disappears. This was originally bug https://code.launchpad.net/bugs/1345569 for which I uploaded Evan's fix, which ended up causing the crash linked to in this bug report. I've since resolved the other crash in 2.14.7-0ubuntu6, a package version which doesn't appear in the linked to report.

I assume this has impact on our ability to retrieve crash reports on RTM? If so, I am sure this is critical for product. Can someone confirm that this is the case?

The problem is that the recoverable-problem script, which is part of apport, will crash if the process which we are trying to gather information about has gone away. Then the recoverable-problem script, in its current state in RTM, will crash and create the linked to crash bucket.

So its not so much about retrieving crash reports on RTM as this doesn't improve reporting of recoverable problems for processes that have disappeared, rather it prevents crash reports about apport being generated which may result in a bad user experience.
