Bug in 12.04.3 “new hardware support available”

Bug Description

Some days ago my dad clicked on "new hardware support available" in 12.04.3. It upgraded and never started again, I had to select the previus kernel from the Grub and purged the new one. I'd like to suggest to the developers to delete this option, or fix it. Thanks.

This bug is missing log files that will aid in diagnosing the problem. From a terminal window please run:

apport-collect 1382297

and then change the status of the bug to 'Confirmed'.

Thanks, I am unable to run that command because I fixed the problem changing the kernel.
