Bug Description

Binary package hint: evolution

This affects Gutsy. I was subscribed to the DistroTeam calendar, and noticed all the times were off. This is an affected item:

BEGIN:VEVENT
DTSTART;TZID=Europe/London:20070913T160000
DTEND;TZID=Europe/London:20070913T170000
RRULE:FREQ=WEEKLY;INTERVAL=4;BYDAY=TH;WKST=MO

STATUS:CONFIRMED
SUMMARY:Community Development Team meeting
TRANSP:OPAQUE
END:VEVENT

Evolution should show this as 12:00pm (I am EDT), but it shows up as 16:00.

While this appears to be a duplicate of Bug 58137, it is not as this bug affects Edgy too.

Sorry for confirming it, I misread the original post. In Evolution, my Google Calendar events show up OK, but in the time applet in gnome my events show up with -3h. It used to work OK in Feisty, now using Gutsy beta, so this is a regression.

I also experience this issue. My Google Calendar timezone is adjusted to GMT-05:00 (Eastern Time) and my timezone in Ubuntu is America/New_York. All of my 8AM Classes show up at 3AM (a 5 hour difference.

Thank you for your bug report. There is a similar issue described upstream, you can read about it on http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=468671. Could anybody try on hardy? The new version has special google calendar code, would be interesting to know whether that's still an issue
