xserver-xorg fails on ATI Radeon 9700

Bug Description

The system crash when I change mode:

GNOME desktop --> Ctrl + Alt + f1 = OK

when I return to GNOME desktop the system go down.

Ctrl + Alt + f1 --> GNOME desktop = CRASH

Thanks for your bug report. Can you please attach /var/log/Xorg.0.log (or Xorg.0.log.old if you have restarted X again)? What versions are you using?

My Xorg version are 7.2.

So I have to wait the good ATI Driver.

You can also try to use the open-source driver "ati" instead and see if it's better.

This package has become obsolete so we're closing out the bug report as WONTFIX.
