(sorry, I do not want to attach the full syslog file as it contains sensitive information), here is a excerpt, if you need the full one, I can provide it via private mail:

$ cat /var/log/syslog|egrep '(Network|ipw)'
Sep 14 11:24:00 localhost kernel: [ 3269.756000] ipw3945: association process canceled
Sep 14 12:03:23 localhost kernel: [ 5632.632000] ipw3945: association process canceled
Sep 14 12:04:55 localhost kernel: [ 5725.220000] ipw3945: association process canceled
Sep 14 13:41:06 localhost NetworkManager: <info> Updating allowed wireless network lists.

The issue does not always happens, currently it seems to work, but I killed nm-applet in between.

I have a manually configured RT61 card (with the /etc/Wireless/RT61STA/... files and the interfaces file), running the manufacturer supplied RT61 driver. Network manager does not detect that my card is connected (so Evolution and Pidgin think they are not connected).

Hi there
do you still experience this issue with the current version of the application?, could you please try to reproduce this using the live environment of the Desktop CD of the development release - Hardy Heron.

Thanks in advance

Still the same in Gutsy. In Hardy, my wifi just works without manual config so it displays correctly.
