Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
Waking the computer after sleeping, the network manager icon in the system tray has disappeared, and the computer will not automatically connect to any networks. Opening System -> Administration -> Network to get the Network Settings panel says the wireless network connection is not configured.
Plugging in a network cable after network manager disappears still works as expected: an IP address is obtained via DHCP.
Running ps -A does, show nm-applet and NetworkManagerD.
After restarting network manager always reappears, however a Ctrl-Alt-Bkspc does not fix the problem.
This occurred on an IBM Thinkpad X31.
Open question: I know that there have been some problems with power management on Thinkpads, some of which were addressed in an update yesterday. Could this be related to that?
