Bug Description
id-utils is broken in ubuntu 7.10:
~$ gid
lid: can't locate `ID': No such file or directory

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Can you please answer these questions:
- Did you run mkid to create the ID database?
- Are you doing the gid command in the same directory where you created the database?
- Does ls ID show the database?
This will help us to find and resolve the problem.
