(Gutsy)Network Manager silently drops connections with USB wifi adapter using zd1211rw driver

Bug Description

Occasionally Firefox will fail to load a page even though the Network Manager icon displays a strong connection. When I reselect the network that I'm supposedly already connected to the spinning connecting icon will appear, only to be replaced by the x marked disconnected icon. To reconnect I have to click on the network again. This is with an unsecured network.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Could you please add the full output of 'dmesg' and '/var/log/daemon.log' after experiencing this event? Thanks in advance.

As of today, Sept. 18, when the network dies I can't restart it. NM keeps displaying the bar graph even after I uncheck wireless and networking in the context menu.

Here's the daemon.log.

Today, the behavior was as originally described (clicking on icon eventually forced NM to reconnect).

I have exactly the same problem and have updated and booted my system today. I attach the dmesg log here.

fixed for reporter.

Bastanteroma, if you still see your issue on gutsy, please open a new bug and attach your /var/log/syslog.

Thanks,
