Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Trying to run Pegasus 3.12 (32 bit) under Win98 environment, hung while entering options (preferences), possibly because of missing DLL or something along those lines. COULD NOT KILL!!!! This may be because I'm new to Linux & don't know how to zap hung processes...
However, was able to move the hung process to another workspace. Still couldn't kill it but at least it was out of the way. No error from Wine. Didn't seem to be in infinite loop as system was responsive.
I should add that I fired pegasus up by double clicking the executable .exe file after linking DOS-windows to Wine for automagical invocation of Wine. All the examples of using Wine that I've seen use a command line instead.
The hang is likely an issue with an incomplete installation (my responsibility), but the inability to kill the hung process seems to me to be a system problem.
TIA for your help and apologies if I'm reporting something very elementary.
