Bug Description

Binary package hint: python2.5

/usr/lib/libpython2.5.so went missing in my system, error was reported by going to system settings -> advanced -> System services. Manually recreating the link fixed the problem for me (libpython2.5.so.1 and libpython.so.1.0 did still exist).
Apt-file confirmed that the link was not present in the python2.5 package.

reassigning to gnome-control-center; applications must not dlopen libraries by their .so symlinks, which are only available in -dev packages.

Changed in python2.5:

I'm running kde, not gnome. Don't know if it occurs in gnome-control-center.
