Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22

The e1000 driver is up to version 7.6.5. Gutsy still seems to be on 7.3.2-k2

A more recent driver is required in order to support these newer devices:

8086:10A5
8086:10BD
8086:10C0
8086:10C2
8086:10C3
8086:294C

Already seeing some of these on the Networking forum.

Gutsy l-u-m already has support for several of these ICH9 IDs:

#define E1000_DEV_ID_ICH9_IGP_AMT 0x10BD
#define E1000_DEV_ID_ICH9_IGP_C 0x294C
#define E1000_DEV_ID_ICH9_IFE 0x10C0
#define E1000_DEV_ID_ICH9_IFE_GT 0x10C3
#define E1000_DEV_ID_ICH9_IFE_G 0x10C2

The only one missing from your list is 10A5 which appears to be a non-ICH9 adapter.

OK. That's good. My diff list was against the devices supported by the e1000 in current Feisty. I'll have to go back and look up what 10A5 corresponds to.

It's this (from e1000-7.6.5 Intel src):

#define E1000_DEV_ID_82571EB_QUAD_FIBER 0x10A5

Not likely to see that on consumer boxes I suppose.
